About

Gautam Nandan

I make software and physical things, sometimes for the same project. Alongside my own work, I work with Gapreelabs LLP building tech for education and creative learning. I like working where the two meet.

Gautam Nandan
Approach

Care about the details, because they add up.

I started writing code because I wanted to make things work. I kept going because I wanted to make them work well — the kind of well that shows up in the small decisions nobody asks about but everybody notices. At Gapreelabs LLP, I build software for education, music, STEM, and creative learning. My own projects let me take ideas from start to finish.

That instinct carried over when I started designing and printing physical objects. Tolerances, material choice, the way a part feels in your hand: it's the same obsession with detail, just expressed in a different medium.

I work solo by choice. No big teams, no game of telephone, just you and me from first idea to the finished thing.

Background

A rough timeline

Now

Independent practice & Gapreelabs LLP

Building software and digital platforms at Gapreelabs LLP — including the background system for Infinity Learning Space — while continuing to take on independent web, robotics, and fabrication projects.

Earlier

Building things that work

Went from small experiments to complete projects that people actually use.

Beginning

First lines of code

Started building small tools and websites, and got hooked on the gap between an idea and something you can actually use.

Toolkit

Technologies I work with

I use what makes sense for the thing I'm making. No favorite hammer — just the right tool for the job.
